What's new with us??

Of course I have taken pictures since the last time I posted but I can't find my cord right now. So those will be posted hopefully SOON!

Rick has almost completed all the stuff he had to get done to be a reserve. He just has to finish up his 200 hours of ride along time...which he is out doing some hours right now.

Makayla turned 4..Jaden is SO funny and can be a BIG terd...Dylan has stopped going to speech for the time being to see how he progresses on his own in school...Kolby is Awsome and still loves to ride and jump his dirt bike.

I am running the pre school that 3 out of the 4 of my kids have attended so I am Makaylas teacher. My aunt was in the process of buying it..but plans changed I was going to be helping my aunt. Instead I am working there for the original owner and my aunt will come in when she can and help out. Crazy!! I know but it's great to get out of the house..Especially when Rick is home and HE gets to take care of the kids and the house.. HaHa is that mean???

2009

The boys are doing great so far this year. Dylan remembers where his classroom is now. LOL In the beginning of the year I would make sure Kolby walked with him to his class because he would just walk right passed it and forget where he was going. I'm sure they will both do great all year even though Dylans teacher told me the first week that he requires a fair amount of manageability. HeHe that's just Dylan :)

The Family is of God

I first heard this song a couple months ago when I started teaching in Primary and I LOVE when we sing it. It is one of my favorite songs and I just wanted you all to know :) Enjoy!!

Our Father has a family. It’s me!
It’s you, all others too: we are His children.
He sent each one of us to earth, through birth,
To live and learn here in families.

A father’s place is to preside, provide,
To love and teach the gospel to his children.
A father leads in family prayer to share
Their love for Father in Heaven.

A mother’s purpose is to care, prepare,
To nurture and to strengthen all her children.
She teaches children to obey, to pray,
To love and serve in the family.

I’ll love and serve my family and be
A good example to each family member.
And when I am a mom or dad, so glad,
I’ll help my family remember:

[Chorus]
God gave us families to help us become what He wants us to be—
This is how He shares His love, for the family is of God.

Thunder's Rollin

Just wanted to share .....
We are getting somewhat of a storm at the moment and I luv how we can hear the thunder rolling in the mounains behind us. It is such a neat sound. I could listen to it ALL day. It does get scary when it's a BIG storm though, it can get real loud and you are able to feel the rumble. Time to get the kiddos ready for tomorrow. Hope everyone has a Great Holiday weekend!!

Pre-school Pics

My little princess would not smile for her picture. She is still precious!!

Here is my handsome graduate. Congrats to dilly! He only has one more day of pre-school then he is off to terrorize the elementary. Good Luck to them :)

And then you have their class picture. I'm not sure what it is with Dylan & pictures. He absolutely loves taking them and loves posing. His personality shines *bright* in this one
you should definitely click on the pic to make it bigger to get the full affect.

So Proud!!

As days go by, Dylan's speech is improving TONS and he is maturing to his age level. Which is a huge relief to me seeing he starts kindergarten in Aug. Anywho....those who know dilly know he has a hard time sitting still and being quiet. WELL last night when we were blessing the food at the dinner table, he whispers to me from across the table "Mom am I doing great"? It was the cutest thing EVER. He makes me so proud.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Last night after dinner, Kolby decided he wanted to have cold lunch (take a lunch from home) I told him I had to make sure I had stuff to make it. He took it upon himself to go in the pantry and get the chips out and he defrosted some bread and had his OWN lunch ready to go and in his backpack. Impressive?? Yes! Even though he can be a little butt head at times, it just comes with the age. I am still so proud of him!

Happy Birthday Jaden!!

A little late but that's ok... This is his excited face. He loves this toy. The bat is occasionally used to hit us instead of the baseball though :)

On their birthdays the kids get to go to the store with me and pick out a Mylar balloon of their choice and some regular balloons to go along with it. I picked out Sponge Bob for JJ this year and he loved it. He wasn't too sure of it in the car but once we got home he ran around with him and had a blast.

Jaden first licked the frosting off his cupcake before biting into it and if you look at Makayla she is pretending to lick it with him I guess. Kids are funny.

Then he dug in and smashed it all over YUM!!

A little sad he's not a baby anymore. His personality has been coming out a lot it seems since he turned the big 1 and he is so much fun. The kids love playing with him and when they get a little rough he can hold his own. He pretends to wrestle with them and they let him think he's beating them up. He loves it..... and we all love him

Jadens Bubba Lip

My poor baby... the day after his birthday, he did a face plant on the kitchen floor and got his first of I'm sure many fat lips.

What a good sport! He tried to give me a smile

Funny kids

I know kids will be kids. They are constantly making up their own "fashions"and that's fine and dandy but when we go places they try to wear these "fashions". They are way funny but my goodness.... The other day Dylan found a bunch of safety glasses in the drawer and decided it would be cool to wear them ALL (four to be exact) at once. He also thought it was cool on this particular day to tuck his pants into his socks..

and my sweet little princess loves her flip-flops (like her mommie)...

but recently has been trying to wear them with socks!!

He makes me nervous

Last year Kolby started ridding a 50 and gained a lot confidence on it. It's so cute seeing this little person ride by....looks kinda like a midget. WELL, this year he has kept that confidence and then some. Take a peek...

He actually started to jump on his quad and then the 50. I was amazed at the air he actually got here.

Woo Hooo!!

Nice!

The first time Kolby went off the table top, he launched and didn't quite clear it. His but bounced and he almost went over the bars. So after that he was more cautious and decided to get the feel for it before he jumped it again.

Finally!

Kolby has been waiting for wrestling to start. They FINALLY sent home the info on tuesday that said they were having registration and practice that night. I just love the last minute notices they send out.

Dylan wanted to try wrestling this year too so we thought we would give it a try to see if he could follow the rules and not be the "dirty" wrestler he was last year. When we say "dirty" we mean that last year when wrestling at home with Kolby or Rick he would drop elbows, throw kicks and hit them in the unmentionables. He would also think it was funny the whole time.

At West Side High in Dayton, Idaho

Here is Dylan before the matches began. He waited very patiently and was excited he was able to get a doughnut after he wrestled...

While wrestling Dylan had a smile the WHOLE time. He kept looking at the people at the edge of the mat and smiling and laughing while the other kid was very serious. He had a good time and can't wait to wrestle again. We are not sure how but Dylan was able to win both matches by points and here he is with his medal. ( every boy gets one weather they win or loose )

Kolby on the other hand was really mellow and I think a little nervous. They were only able to have one practice the night before and he hadn't wrestled since last year. I think his before picture sais it all....

Kolby also did very well. His first match he looked a little stressed out like he forgot what to expect and got discouraged when the other boy won by points. After a pep talk he went out again for the second match and most definitely delivered the wrath. He was able to pin once and win by points.
On Friday they will wrestle in Malad.

Little Hands

So, the other day we were all outside playing, enjoying the weather and getting pretty muddy. Rick needed to go to town so he went to get into his car and it had been vandalized!!!!

These little hands....

Were across the front of the car...

Along the side of the car....

And in the back!

Who's responsible for this ???

This child has been seen running a muck around town
and could be in your area!
You are advised to contact officials immediately if you see him.
